Victorian One Penny Model Coin Brooch

The Victoria One Penny Model was a model coin made in Birmingham between 1844 and 1848, during a period in which the British Government were considering the notion of replacing the heavy copper coinage then in use. However this design of coin never came into production.

This model penny has had a hole born into it and a quirky bow-shaped enamel brooch attached.

This piece is a wonderful quirky addition to any coin or jewellery collection!

Coin measures 2.2cm diameter.
